School Manager | World Expeditions Schools (VIC)

Hybrid, Full time position, Schools Team

Educational leave and travel benefit, Melbourne-based with flexibility

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid role with office and remote work)

Inspire the next generation through life-changing travel. This is no ordinary role. As the School Manager for World Expeditions Schools in Victoria, you’ll play a vital part in delivering our mission: to empower students through authentic, challenging, and meaningful educational adventure experiences.

From remote service projects in the villages of Cambodia and Indigenous immersion programs in Australia to trekking through the snowcapped Himalayan peaks, our itineraries are crafted to engage, educate and inspire!

You’ll be the face of these journeys – collaborating with educators & school leadership teams, planning with our local operations managers & NGOs, working with our risk and R&D teams, and presenting the programs confidently to teachers, students and parents alike.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Manage current schools: You’ll oversee existing school relationships, supported by a handover process and business development tasks.
  • Reputation & Rebooking: Maintain strong, proactive relationships with key decision-makers to support repeat bookings and ongoing engagement.
  • Client Engagement: Work with school executives to align our programs with their goals for experiential learning.
  • Program Design: Collaborate with local operations managers, risk and R&D to co-create impactful, safe itineraries.
  • Sales and Promotion: Inspire students, teachers and families at school presentations and launch events.
  • Pipeline Management: Nurture partnerships and maintain a healthy rebooking and sales pipeline.
  • Travel Ready: Willingness to travel for school meetings, program launches, and parent information nights.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in education engagement, school-facing roles or travel sales (schools focus is key).
  • A passion for youth development, travel, and transformative learning.
  • Confident communicator with teachers, parents and students alike.
  • Ability to work independently within a supportive national team.
  • Commercial awareness and experience with CRM tools and systems.

Product Coordinator | World Expeditions 

Full time position, Operations Team

$65,000 plus super subject to experience, (plus other travel benefits)

Adventure Product Coordinator – World Expeditions

Working closely with the Operations Manager, we are seeking the expertise of an experienced industry professional to manage a suite of trips which will vary depending on experience, alongside a team of passionate destination managers. We're seeking full-time staff, based in our Sydney offices in a hybrid role which will include the ability to work remotely at times.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Managing a suite of trips, from inception to execution
  • Supporting sales staff with group and FIT arrangements in your region
  • Liaising with ground operators in various areas on itineraries, costs, quality controls, private groups, and positive impact projects
  • Writing trip copy for inclusion in brochures/website
  • Writing trip notes and pre-departure information for each trip
  • Assessing feedback from client questionnaires and responding to same
  • Troubleshooting
  • Product comparisons
  • Ensuring trips in the field operate to the highest environmental and safety standards
  • Creating groundbreaking itineraries which satisfy our travellers' thirst for adventure

To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Minimum of 3 years of travel industry experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Comprehensive firsthand travel experience, including multi-day treks to many World Expeditions destinations, such as Nepal, India, South America, Africa, and Asia
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative and think laterally
  • Great written and verbal communication, organisational, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Office 365 suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and some CMS experience desirable, along with self-sufficiency and capacity to learn systems quickly
  • A drive to contribute positively to the team, capacity to build a strong rapport with stakeholders, and to participate in conferences, info nights, and events
  • A genuine passion for adventure travel and the capacity to translate this into creating innovative itineraries which stretch the edges of adventure
  • A passion for our style of active travel is a must (make sure you include where you have travelled to in your resume).
